30 Day Smoke Free-Day 13
We are getting close to the halfway mark on our 30 Day challenge. It is time to get down to the nitty gritty and cut out the smokes. By tomorrow we need to be down to a 1/4 of what we smoked on Day 1.
By now I hope you have said to yourself, “NOT RIGHT NOW” about a hundred times. So your brain is getting used to listening. Repetition is key here. We are taking back control of our brain and retraining it to listen to what we want, not the nicotine.
We now to have to shift from “not right now” to “never again” We have to begin thinking like a non-smoker. So now, I am will be giving you daily affirmations instead of just shifting your focus onto something else. I still want you to find ways to get through the urges, but we have to tell your brain that we are happy not smoking.
- ” I am controlling my addiction”
- “I will stay calm, at ease, and willing to overcome the urges to smoke”
This will seem silly at first. After all, you are talking to yourself. But trust me, you mind needs to hear it. So say it out loud and with confidence. You have to begin believing in yourself. You will be a non smoker in no time!
Track any cigarettes you smoke.
From now on, write how you feel after smoking.
Also in your notebook, answer this:
“Have you tried quitting before? Why do you think you failed?”
