 Moving right along. Now that we are getting closer to ending our “bad friendship”, we need to talk about a reward system. 

You can choose whatever reward system you want to use. You can do by day, or week, whichever is best for you. I will tell you what has really helped me. I have a big reward jar. I wrote on the side, “no smoking reward jar” and I put $.25 every hour I don’t smoke. 

We already talked about how much you spend a month on cigarettes and what you could do with the money you will be saving. But this way, I actually see it add up. Keep in mind this is only from the time I wake up, until the time I go to bed. 

This was so helpful during the first few days. You really do have to take it step by step, but the days seem so long when you are refraining from smoking. So making through each hour is very helpful. Plus you can celebrate each hour by paying the jar! 

Positive Affirmations: 
  • “My body is free of toxins!”
  • “I enjoy eating now because my food tastes so much better!”
